Bonded Meltblown Polypropylene
These 1-ply rolls are point bonded to tie down loose fibers. The open fiber construction is perfect for skimming hydrocarbon-based fluids off of the surface of water. Unroll this material on the shoreline to prevent soil contamination from spilled hydrocarbons. They can also be deployed on open water to capture long stretches of oil sheen. The open fiber construction of these oil spill rolls quickly draws oil into the web, absorbing up to 15X their own weight. These products are generally used in conjunction with absorbent booms and oil spill pads. Bonded meltblown can also be used for cleaning spilled oil and grease in manufacturing facilities.
